Abraham et al (1991) described the Geriatric Neuropsychiatry Clinic, which used a multidisciplinary team to offer comprehensive assessment, provide direct treatment for psychiatric symptoms, provide a training environment for health professional students, and develop opportunities to collaborate across disciplines. The clinic was held 1 day per week in an outpatient adult psychiatric clinic and was led by nurses who did the initial assessments, coordinated care, and provided direct treatment.…”
