Outline of Definition and Classification of “Pregnancy induced Hypertension (PIH)”

Abstract: In this report, we present the terminology, definition and classification of pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH) by the Japan Society for the Study of Hypertension in Pregnancy (JSSHP). PIH is classified as gestational hypertension (GH), preeclampsia (PE), superimposed preeclampsia (S-PE) or eclampsia (E).
