“…Those authors suggested that a loss of complexity of RRI is directly connected with disease. In the analysis of complexity of RRI and blood pressure conducted on women suffering from VVS Reulecke et al [ 24 ] also observed significant decreasing of entropy measure of RRI in response to the tilt. “…Although this is the first study to show the influence of BPV in patients with OI, accumulating evidence suggests that increased BPV is implicated in vasovagal syncope, which is considered a specific variant of OI syndrome [1, 21]. The cardiovascular time series analysis suggested that patients with vasovagal syncope had significantly increased BPV during orthostatic challenge compared to controls [22]. Excessive BPV was accompanied by sympathetic hyperactivity and vagal withdrawal, which suggested autonomic dysregulation in response to orthostatic stress.…”
