Precise determination of the KAlSi 3 O 8 (or KAlSi 3 O 8 *H 2 O) polymorph can provide useful genetic information for the evolution of UHP rocks Kfs along with Mu and Qz were found as MSI mineral phases in zircons from the Kokchetav gneiss.
