Oral bioavailability and hypoglycaemic activity of tolbutamide/cyclodextrin inclusion complexes

Abstract: The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the enhancement of tolbutamide (TBM) oral bioavailability and hypoglycaemic activity through complexation with b-cyclodextrin (b-CD) and hydroxypropyl-b-cyclodextrin (HP-b-CD).
