Optimised biomolecular extraction for metagenomic analysis of microbial biofilms from high-mountain streams

Abstract: Glacier-fed streams (GFS) are harsh ecosystems dominated by microbial life organized in benthic biofilms, yet the biodiversity and ecosystem functions provided by these communities remain under-appreciated.
