“…We hypothesized that standard protocol of early initiation of deflation of air (within an hour) but with longer intervals of deflation would be inferior to the modified protocol that involves a delayed initiation but shorter intervals. Recently, there have been trials which show that an accelerated protocol that starts almost 30 minutes after the sheath removal is safe without an increase in bleeding complications [ 12 , 13 ] but with overall longer time to removal.
