Optimal Operation of Microgrids Considering Auto-Configuration Function Using Multiagent System

Abstract: Monitoring the status of existing devices and identification of newly added devices is required in microgrids to adjust the operation schedule followed by any event or integration of a new device. Therefore, in this paper, automatic reconfiguration of microgrids is considered after the addition of a new device or change in the operation status of an existing device by using a multiagent system. This capability of the microgrid is named as auto-configuration function, which is performed by the auto-configurator… Show more

“…In addition, several studies on microgrids about demand response (DR), auto-configuration, fault analysis, and control are also available in the literature. Optimal operation of microgrids considering DR and auto-configuration function are studied based on multi-agent system (MAS) in [7,8], respectively. In [9], unsymmetrical faults of microgrids are studied based on definite two relationship matrices.…”

“…The power output was controlled in the hybrid system with diesel generation and was found capable of frequency control despite varying load conditions. Bui [40] developed an auto-configuration function to integrate old and new devices (microgrids) with rescheduling process. This system assists energy management system to reduce operational cost and alleviate load shedding.…”
