“…From the above table, it is realized that the thickness of the odd and even layer along with the nature of material plays a vital role in the aforementioned application. After the discussion of reflectance, we move to analyze the absorption with the help of the Equation (7)(8)(9).Further, the equation ( 9) depends on the absorption coefficient which is a function of the imaginary refractive index. The imaginary refractive index of the silicon monoxide, silicon, and air material are found at the input signal (violet spectrum).…”

“…Again, two-dimensional crystal is used to analyze a laser based acetylene sensor in reference [5] by FDTD method using MEEP software whereas a single photonic crystal structure is used to generate 16 laser beams in [6] which are predominantly used in medical field. Beside these, recently a series of work related to the silicon waveguide have been disclosed for various type of the application vis-a-vis MUX/DEMIX, monochromatic filter, locking and unlocking the device, VLC and robotic application [7][8][9][10][11][12][13].Even though one-dimensional photonic structure bestows a different notable applications [7][8][9][10][11][12][13] and capable of generating 16 types of monochromatic beams [6], we in this work generate twenty numbers of monochromatic beams in visible and near-infrared (NIR) regime using the principle of filteing . For examples; different signals of He-Cd, Argon, Krypton, He-Ne, Ruby, Nd:YAG, Tm:YAG, Ho:YAG, Er:YAG, Er:YSGG, and Iodine monochromatic beams are generated and their wavelengths are drawn from the reference [14].…”

“…In all the said literature 64 alternative layers of Silicon (Si) and SiO with two defect positions are implemented to realize the same. In [1], the operating range of lters is the visible range (400 nm to 700 nm), in [2][3], the range is from 1500 nm to 1600 nm whereas the 1300 nm range is taken in [4]. Instead of using SiO, the air is sandwiched between two Silicon layers in [5] to realize three numbers of DeMUX for signal wavelength 1290 nm, 1310 nm, and 1330 nm by FDTD method where the thickness of Silicon and air is the decisive factor to decide the allowable wavelength.…”

“…Basically, the realization of different types of photonic applications is based on different structures of materials used for fabrication and its several con gurations. For example, a Grating structure is one of the frequently used materials for realizing the photonic lters where Silicon and SiO are used alternatively in the literature [1][2][3][4]. In all the said literature 64 alternative layers of Silicon (Si) and SiO with two defect positions are implemented to realize the same.…”

“…Silicon grating structures are more widely used material for designing the filters where the thicknesses of the semiconductor materials are the deciding factor to allow the desired wavelength of the light signal. In the literature [1][2][3][4][5][6][7], most of the filters are designed by taking the alternate combination of Silicon (Si) and Silicon Monoxide (SiO) with some defect. Total 64 layers of Si and SiO are taken with some appropriate which decides the allowable wavelength of light signals.…”
