Pardo‐Castello 3 and Parameswara and Chinnappiah 4 suggested that periungual bullae might be responsible for dystrophic changes of the nail and interfere with the function of the matrix. According to Baumal and Robinson 5 and Fulton et al ., 6 the primary defect affects the nail bed.…”
