The pretreatment mean IOP of 51 mm Hg in our series was also markedly higher than in the series of Bloom (34.1 mm Hg),1 Hawkins (32.5%),13 and Spencer (33.0 mm Hg)5, consistent with more severe disease in patients with painful, blind eyes.…”
