On the Usefulness of the Modern Analog Approach to Interpret High Resolution Records: The Case of Varved Sediments from Lake Montcortès (Central Pyrenees)

Abstract: In the Quaternary paleosciences, the rationale behind analogical inference presupposes that former natural changes can be explained by causes operating now, although their intensity and rates can vary through time.
