Abstract: Indirect field oriented control of induction machine has been widely applied in industry applications. This control scheme is relatively simple but strongly relies on the parameters of the machine, such as the rotor time constant and mutual inductance. The parameter deviation could result in the decrease of control performance, and this is vital especially for the torque control mode. In this paper, the effects of the deviation of rotor time constant and mutual inductance on the rotor flux and the electromagne… Show more

“…Besides the control strategy, the estimated parameters are used to configure the flux model and the decoupling network. In this paper, a U 1 / I 1 -model is used, due to its property of using only the rotor flux-oriented machine parameters and its insensitivity of the rotor temperature change (Zhang et al , 2014). With the identified machine parameters, the machine can be controlled in the unsaturated regions.…”

“…The need for validation measurements of electrical machines on a machine test bench rises. For the control of an IM, it is necessary to know the parameters, such as the main inductance L M , the leakage inductances of the stator and rotor L 1 , σ and L ′ 2 , σ and the rotor and stator resistance R 1 and R ′ 2 of the electrical machine to configure the controllers correctly (Zhang et al , 2014). Therefore, a rapid characterization and control of electrical machines is necessary.…”

“…Different control algorithms stress the importance of different parameters [5,15,18]. For the rotor-flux-oriented indirect field-oriented control (IFOC), which is among the most widespread control strategies, rotor resistance and magnetizing inductance can be considered the most crucial ones [5,12,21,22]. The main idea behind IFOC is to control the induction machine similarly to a DC machine with a separate control of the so-called torque and flux component of the induction machine stator current.…”

“…Model Reference Adaptive System (MRAS)-based methods can be also counted among computationally undemanding techniques with a simple structure and implementation [21,22,36,37]. Usually, they are used to identify one or two parameters because it is difficult to find a stable adaptive law [5].…”
