Abstract: The paper mainly concerns how schema theory is applied in high vocational college English reading teaching. Explore the exposition of schema theory, the process of schema activation, the types of schemata and the function of schemata. Expatiate the relationship between schema theory and college English reading comprehension. Try applying schemata secondary method to discourse teaching. It plays an active role to improve the students in reading comprehension.
