Clothing as a memory support: a brief discussion on experiences in pandemic timesLa ropa como apoyo a la memoria: breve discusión sobre experiencias en tiempos de pandemia Abstract:The article aims at a theoretical discussion from a macro-sociological approach on the theme of the relationship of coziness between subjects and clothing, as well as the perception of the "wardrobe as a box of memories". The theoretical discussion developed was based on studies from the areas of memory and identity, through the perspective of Candau (2019), the psychoanalytic assumptions of Winnicott (1982), and guiding studies on material culture (Meneses, 1998;Dohmann, 2013) and clothing (Nacif, 2007;Miller, 2013). These theoretical assumptions were related to the records on the analyzed Instagram profiles, which reveal the change in clothing practices amidst the pandemic scenario. It is concluded that the reflections in which we appropriate the personal objects that surround us bring this notion of the possibility of individual improvement in the current context through these objects.
