Os achados vão ao encontro do registrado no estudo de Trindade, Gaudêncio e Santana (2019), envolvendo entrevistas com 11 cuidadores de usuários autistas; na pesquisa realizada por Araújo e Guazina (2017), em que foram entrevistadas cinco cuidadoras de crianças e adolescentes (um deles identificado como autista); e em Rabelo et al (2021), que realizaram grupo focal com sete cuidadores de usuários (cinco deles autistas).
