Abstract:The etiology of cerebral palsy is multifactorial. In a large proportion of patients (30%) there is no specific risk factor or recognized etiology. Risk factors for CP are divided into three: prenatal, perinatal and postnatal factors 8,9 .According to epidemiological studies of already patients with cerebral palsy, 70% to 80% of cases are due to prenatal causes, and perinatal asphyxia represents less than 10% of cases.
