Effect of baseline prolactin levels on the pregnancy outcomes after fresh embryo transfer

“…In clinical practice, there is a consensus that hyperprolactinemia has adverse effects on pregnancy outcomes, due to dopamine receptor agonists were thought to have potential fetal teratogenic effects, based on our findings, if patients with higher PRL levels can obtain good-quality embryos during IVF/ICSI, follow-up and observation of PRL levels can be considered during the transfer process. In addition, similar to previous literature reports, [20][21][22][23][24][25] we found that female age, number of embryos transferred, and normal fertilization rate affect pregnancy outcomes, whereas female age, menstrual cycle, and number of embryos transferred affect clinical pregnancy outcomes.…”
