“…A different set of four NMPs were also identified in oral cancer tissue, which were absent from normal oral tissue samples. Similar differences in NMP composition between benign and malignant tissue have been found when comparing squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck [McCaffrey et al, 1997].…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…It has been reported prostatic carcinoma, breast cancer, overian cancer, endometrial cancer, colon carcinoma, pulmonary carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN) and melanoma etc have elevated protein kinase CK2 levels and activation. More and more studies confirmed that protein kinase CK2 had a close correlation with the occurrence and development of SCCHN [4] . This experiment investigated the inhibitory effect of DRB on human laryngeal carcinoma Hep-2 cell line by MTT assay and the cell morphological changes.…”

“…When compared with the nuclear matrix profiles of nonneoplastic squamous epithelium obtained from the same patients, the tumors were found to possess 2 additional NMPs not present in the normal tissues. 26 In a similarly designed study, McCaffery et al 27 …”
