“…We present here the results of our work concerning the 145 La nucleus. From investigations previous to this work, the decay of 145 Ba to 145 La has not been established completely and many γ-rays remain unplaced or have been placed tentatively in the level scheme [14]. Moreover, except for the 2566 keV level (2570 keV in the present work), the available information on levels above 1177 keV concerns the population of pseudolevels based on total γ-ray absorption spectrometer measurements [15].…”

“…The accepted-level structure for 145 Pr used for the ENDF/ B-VII.0 evaluation [28] indicates minor disagreement between high-resolution gamma spectroscopy results and corresponding TAGS measurements [29]. Here, β feeding strengths for levels above 786.9 keV (the predominant decay gamma from 145 Ce) are moderately higher for all levels estimated by Greenwood et al [29] using TAGS, with a cumulative difference of about 3.74% [29].…”

“…This introduced additional complexity since activation products were created from within the polyethylene rabbit and radioactive contamination from the PT was present on the rabbit's outer walls. The activation products identified after an empty rabbit irradiation in PT-2 were 56 Mn, 28 Al, 38 Cl, 41 Ar, and 51 Cr. It is known that the 56 Mn, 28 Al, and 38 Cl are produced from within the HDP rabbit matrix, while 41 Ar is created from the activation of elemental argon in air, and 51 Cr is created from the activated chromium acquired from the stainless steel PT.…”
