Abstract. Customer satisfaction with the provided transport services is closely related to the ability of management to respond flexibly to process changes and maintain the required quality. QRQC is also considered as a method for troubleshooting and it can be applicable in many different areas along rail transport. The innovative qualitative approach QRQC highlights the principle of thorough analysis of the causes of problems. After a problem situation occurs in a traffic operation, it is necessary to proceed according to the specified sequence in order to reduce the undesirable influence in the shortest possible time. The article deals with the possibility of applying this method to rail transport processes.

This chapter describes a procurement process for providing transport serviceability by public passenger transport. The objective of the chapter is to present individual steps for procurement of public transport services. These steps consist of identiication of objectives, deinition of requirements for transport serviceability, risk allocation between contractual parties, drafting a public service contract and a process of selecting a service operator. Special atention is paid to the risks and their inluence on contracting parties. The chapter also characterises procedure for the direct award of a public service contract, that is without competitive tendering. The author tries to deine the impact of the direct award of contracts on the scope of services provided.

The liberalization of transport market brings various effects, which in the context of the assessment of synergies can affect in different ways the company, a customer as such, and transport undertakings operating on the railway transport market as well. This paper provides an innovative perspective on the relationship between liberalization and synergy, defining new types of synergies that have not yet been monitored in the conditions of railway transport. This approach is interesting because of the possibility of assessing the operation of railway undertakings in the open transport market. The eminent is characteristic of integration type synergies and emergence type synergies in relation to railway transport, as well as the breakdown of synergies in relation to the customer and carrier.
