Abstract:A rapid method for obtaining the parameters describing the lengths of oxidation induction periods from non-isothermal differential scanning calorimetry measurements, based on the dependence of onset temperature of the oxidation peak on heating rate, is presented. The method has been applied for screening the stability of a set of three pharmaceuticals. The order of stabilities of the compounds obtained by the method coincides with the order determined by classical stability tests.
scite is a Brooklyn-based startup that helps researchers better discover and evaluate scientific articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by researchers from dozens of countries and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
