Abstract: Recent advances in our understanding of the processes involved in neutrophil apoptosis, coupled with new insights into the mechanisms by which bystander immune cells induce neutrophil death, may provide novel and exciting possibilities with regards to the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases.
