[1][2][3]9 Uveal melanomas occur more often in middle-aged whites and only rarely in patients under 20 years of age or with dark skin. Choroidal melanomas have no predilection for gender, and the average age of diagnosis is approximately 59 years of age.…”

Le terme "schwannien" se réfère à l'observation faite par DVORAK-THEOBALD (1937) d'une prolifération de cellules de Schwann des nerfs ciliaires longs postérieurs dans cinq cas de "sarcome" choroïdien.…”
