Abstract: Introdução Meningite criptocóccica é uma das infecções meníngeas mais comuns em países com altas taxas de infecção pelo HIV. É uma infecção grave e fatal, provocada por duas espécies: Cryptococcus neoformans e Cryptococcus gattii. que ultimamente tem se tornado mais frequente em pacientes aparentemente imunocompetentes ou com imunossupressão iatrogênica.
