Object: To introduce an impacted wisdom tooth extraction method based on the new concept of bone preservation. Methods: About 60 cases with impacted mandibular third molars in our clinic were reviewed from January to March 2021. Two senior attending doctors were selected to perform the extraction operations. Two different techniques were used to extract the impacted third molar. The duration of the operation time, the postoperative swelling scaling and the pain scaling were reviewed.
Research results:There was no significant difference between the two groups in operation time, the postoperative swelling scaling and the pain scaling. Both methods can remove wisdom teeth, and clinicians should choose less invasive methods.
Conclusion:The extraction of impacted teeth should be improved with more precision and less trauma.
