Nanomaterials Based on Fe3O4 and Phthalocyanines Derived from Cashew Nut Shell Liquid

Abstract: In this work we report the synthesis of new hybrid nanomaterials in the core/shell/shell morphology, consisting of a magnetite core (Fe3O4) and two consecutive layers of oleic acid (OA) and phthalocyanine molecules, the latter derived from cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL). The synthesis of Fe3O4 nanoparticle was performed via co-precipitation procedure, followed by the nanoparticle coating with OA by hydrothermal method. The phthalocyanines anchorage on the Fe3O4/OA core/shell nanomaterial was performed by facil… Show more

“…The second stage is 24% weight loss in the temperature range from 900 to 950 K, this may be attributed to the degradation of the macrocyclic for the Na 2 Pc molecule, which is consistent with previous results [28].…”

“…Specifically, ZnPc 1 showed obvious characteristic absorption peaks of phthalocyanines in the B- and Q-bands in different solvents, including DMSO ( Figures 1B , S5 ), MeOH ( Figures S6 and S7 ) and water containing 0.1% DMSO ( Figures S8 and S9 ). 43 This also proved the successful synthesis of ZnPc 1 from the side. ZnPc 1 also had FL properties in different solvents, including DMSO ( Figures 1C-E and S10 and S11 ) and MeOH ( Figures S12 - S15 ).…”

“…On examination of the published data, one finds that in some of these publications only lists of chemical shifts are given; in cases when the experimental spectra are shown, the resolution is poor. 11,[64][65][66][67][68][69][70][71][72][73] In other publications however, the data are presented both as lists of chemical shifts and experimental traces, and the spectral resolution is mostly good enough for a proper integration. 44,[74][75][76][77][78][79][80][81][82][83][84][85][86][87][88][89][90][91][92] The NMR spectra display signals of the peripheral groups distant to the cobalt centre, and, in some cases, broadened peaks of the phthalo protons.…”
