Abstract:An N-doped porous carbon (NPC) with porous structure was successfully prepared by a one-step calcination method. The NPC with its abundant modified active functional groups was used in adsorption experiments, showing that the adsorption capacity of NPC for Pb 2+ was up to 179.86 mg g -1 at pH 5. It displayed a fast kinetic adsorption rate and high selective adsorption and cyclic adsorption capacities. The Pb 2+ adsorption mechanism consisted in cationic-p interactions and electrostatic attraction. Thus, the de… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
