Abstract: Purpose To present a novel multisource rotating shield brachytherapy (RSBT) apparatus for the simultaneous precise angular and linear positioning of partially-shielded 153Gd brachytherapy sources in interstitial needles for the treatment of locally-advanced prostate cancer.
