Abstract:Cryptococcus neoformans/ Cryptococcus gattii (C. neoformans/ C. gattii) species complex are encapsulated basidiomycetous yeasts, causing cryptococcosis which is a life-threatening fungal disease of the pulmonary and central nervous system of humans and animals.
