Multi-channel EEG recordings during a sustained-attention driving task

Abstract: We describe driver behaviour and brain dynamics acquired from a 90-minute sustained-attention task in an immersive driving simulator. The data included 62 sessions of 32-channel electroencephalography (EEG) data for 27 subjects driving on a four-lane highway who were instructed to keep the car cruising in the centre of the lane. Lane-departure events were randomly induced to cause the car to drift from the original cruising lane towards the left or right lane. A complete trial included events with deviation on… Show more

“…In fact, neither sleep nor wakefulness can determine whether a neuron system is inactive during sleep. Certain oscillatory behaviors and sometimes even some neurons are more active during sleep than during wakefulness [ 75 ]. Figure 7 , Figure 8 and Figure 9 confirm this view, and the changes in different entropies in each rhythm are not necessarily consistent.…”

“…It is well known that medical diagnosis is an effective and reasonable way to handle the problem of uncertainty. Decision theory [17][18][19] has been widely applied in this field, containing a variety of theories and methods. For instance, evidence theory and its extension [20][21][22], evidential reasoning [23,24], D numbers theory [25], R numbers theory [26,27], Z numbers theory [28,29], and other hybrid methods have been used to research it from lots of aspects.…”

“…This study exploits a public EEG dataset of a lane-keeping experiment in a simulated driving environment [45]. In this experiment, participants must drive the car and keep it in-lane by steering the steering wheel.…”
