Abstract

The importance of early diagnosis is discussed, highlighting the consequences of misdiagnosis, and question whether these patients have been adequately treated in the past. The risk of malignant transformation of an undescended testicle increases with age, thus gonadectomy should be performed after puberty, and in some cases hormone replacement therapy.
