The study looks at how schools can serve as environments for peace in the absence of violence. It sought to encapsulate students' learning and how well they learn in hazardous environments that are fraught with violence. It was therefore aimed at investigating the effects of violence and the absence of peace on their educational and social needs and how this can affect students' education and learning, compounding global values. The research question was pegged on how violence influences the learner’s motivation in learning. It was conceived as a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. The study used structured questionnaires having defined and recorded operations in accepted conditions. These defined operations were assured through two pre-tests to ascertain their reliability. 924 students were randomly selected and used as the primary sample, and the structured questionnaires were used to elicit data. The collected data was analysed using JAMOVI and SPSS. The analysis was interpreted using descriptive statistics and ANOVA. The study's findings show high physical and structural violence, poor school quality, and a very compromised socioeconomic background of the learners. This situation reduces schools away from peaceful learning settings and social justice for the students. In perspective, such findings are a trouble spot for global values and more research needs to be carried out to understand how student learning can effectively take place in such precarious conditions.

Motivation in learning is somehow very important in most subjects that involve a high degree of interaction. These are relevant to subjects such as Social Marketing that rely on group projects and involvement between learners and people, especially in communicating their messages on campaigns on social issues. Compared to the scenario before the pandemic which the learning process was conducted through a formal one-to-one classroom, however, the pandemic has given both teachers and students teaching/learning to accept online learning as the new norm. Though this new environment somehow affects their motivation to learn. Understanding the both contexts of teachers and learners is crucial in making sure they are able to play their different roles to make the lessons successful and meaningful. This quantitative study is done to investigate how is learner's motivation online learning presence is influenced by learners' motives to study a Social Marketing subject. 89 respondents were purposely chosen from learners who took the course. The survey used has 24 items using 5-Likert scales. Findings revealed that the most satisfying thing among students in this program is trying to understand the content of the courses. Learners aim to get a good grade in the classes and that is among the most satisfying things for them. Expectancy components revealed students' perception of self-efficacy in which they believe they will receive excellent results and the belief they had control beliefs for learning. As for affective components, the study revealed that students feel their heart beating fast when they take an exam.

Recognition of students’ abnormal behaviors in English learning and analysis of psychological stress based on deep learning

The recognition of students’ learning behavior is an important method to grasp the changes of students’ psychological characteristics, correct students’ good learning behavior, and improve students’ learning efficiency. Therefore, an automatic recognition method of students’ behavior in English classroom based on deep learning model is proposed. The deep learning model is mainly applied to the processing of English classroom video data. The research results show that the video data processing model proposed in this paper has no significant difference between the data obtained from the recognition of students’ positive and negative behaviors and the real statistical data, but the recognition efficiency has been significantly improved. In addition, in order to verify the recognition effect of the deep learning model in the real English classroom environment, the statistical results of 100 recognition result maps are compared with the results of manual marking, and the average recognition accuracy of 100 recognition effect maps is finally obtained, which is 87.33%. It can be concluded that the learning behavior recognition model proposed in this paper has a high accuracy and meets the needs of daily teaching. It further verifies that the developed behavior recognition model can be used to detect students’ behavior in English class, which is very helpful to analyze students’ psychological state and improve learning efficiency.
