Mortality and health services utilisation among older people with advanced cognitive impairment living in residential care homes

Abstract: Objectives To study the demography, clinical characteristics, service utilisation, mortality, and predictors of mortality in older residential care home residents with advanced cognitive impairment.Design Cohort longitudinal study. “…Future studies may examine other aspects of the process, such as the dynamics in arriving a consensus within the families, adherence to the designated plan by medical staff outside the CGAT, and how psycho-social-spiritual care is provided in RCHEs in accordance with ACP.
