Abstract: AN IC that combines the advantages of silicon light sensors with the signal processing capability of bipolar integrated transistors will be reported. Included on the all-bipolar chip are a linear light-to-currrnt convrrter, a voltage reference, and an adaptively biased voltage comparator. In accqmplishing this marriagc, circuitry was developed to provide operation at the very low current levels and over a wide dynamic range of the sensor.
