Abstract:Peroxisome proliferator activated receptor beta/delta (PPARβ/δ) is a nuclear receptor ubiquitously expressed in cells whose signaling controls inflammation and metabolism. However, there are great discrepancies in understanding the role of PPARβ/δ, having both anti- and pro-effects on inflammation. Understanding the PPARβ/δ mechanism of action may provide new molecular mechanisms for treating a variety of inflammatory-related diseases. We studied the PPARβ/δ-regulation of LPS-induced inflammation of pulmonary a… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
