Abstract: A model of pre-existing traps for electrons in polar glasses is presented. It is assumed that the condensed medium consists of a large number of cells and that each cell is composed of a certain number of molecular dipoles. Two specific cases are investigated. In one case each cell consists of four tetrahedrally located dipoles. In the other it consists of six hexahedrally located dipoles.
