Abstract:We discuss the well posedness of the initial value problem to Euler equations related to phase transition. The solution contains two phase boundaries moving in opposite directions. Entropy condition and kinetic relation are used as the main admissibility criteria to select the physically relevant solution. We show the existence of the entropy solution under a suitable Finiteness Condition and a Stability Condition guarantees the stability of the problem in L 1 ∩ BV and the existence of a Lipschitz semigroup of… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
