Huang et al (1988) reported the proliferation effects of depositing 100 lg of DBP to cultures of ROS 17/2.8 and ROS 24/1 rat osteosarcoma cells and periosteal fibroblasts. A subsequent report showed that DBP stimulated proliferation and inhibited alkaline phosphatase activity after 1 day, but did the reverse, inhibited proliferation and stimulated alkaline phosphatase activity, after 4 days (Shteyer et al 1990).…”
