MiR-199a-5p and let-7c cooperatively inhibit migration and invasion by targeting MAP4K3 in hepatocellular carcinoma

Abstract: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has a high recurrence rate, and patients exhibit poor survival mainly because intrahepatic metastasis is common. We previously reported that let-7c down-regulation is significantly associated with poor differentiation level in HCC. In the present study, we demonstrate that miR-199a-5p and let-7c are frequently down-regulated in HCC cells and tissues, and low expression of miR-199a-5p is correlated with tumor size, liver envelope invasion. Furthermore, miR-199a-5p and let-7c coope… Show more

“…Furthermore, miR-199a-5p was investigated to play a variety of roles in cancers. Liu et al elucidated miR-199a-5p and let-7c suppressed hepatocellular carcinoma cells metastasis capacity in [18]. In the current research, our purpose was to explore circPVT1 and miR-199a-5p function and mechanism in U591 and U251 cells.…”

“…MAP4K3 has been previously reported to regulate cell death (11). In hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines, MAP4K3 has also been shown to induce cell migration and invasion (12). Overexpression of MAP4K3 was identified in NSCLC tumor tissues (13), and correlated with recurrence in patients with NSCLC (14).…”

“…MAP4K3 (also known as serine/threonine protein kinase GLK) is a member of MAPK kinase that regulates a variety of cellular activities, including cell proliferation, cell migration, and cell differentiation [20,21]. Upregulation of MAP4K3 is a major factor in the development and progression of various tumors [22][23][24]. MAP4K3 was rstly identi ed to play an ongogenic role in paediatric high grade glioma [25].…”
