Abstract: Abstract-n this paper we propose minimum mean squared error (MMSE) iterative successive parallel arbitrated decision feedback (DF) receivers for direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems. We describe the MMSE design criterion for DF multiuser detectors along with successive, parallel and iterative interference cancellation structures. A novel efficient DF structure that employs successive cancellation with parallel arbitrated branches and a near-optimal low complexity user ordering algori… Show more

“…Joint detection and estimation procedures can benefit the optimization of the code and result in improved performance, but the computational complexity increases [26,27]. As a result, other detectors such as MMSE [28,29] and sphere decoders [30,31] can be used in the detection part in order to reduce the computational complexity. The ML optimization problem for determining the transmitted symbol vector in (7) is given bŷ…”

“…Also, the asymptotic average PER of a many-user DS-CDMA SIC has been derived under the long code model for any energy profile s ( ), allowing accurate performance evaluation even in scenarios subject to disparate user powers and operating with/without power control strategies. Recent adaptive DS-CDMA IC schemes addressing error propagation may be found in [8].…”

“…Also, several pre-equalized methods have been proposed in [6][7][8][9][10] to reduce the time variations and obtain a quasi-diagonal channel matrix as convectional OFDM systems over the *Correspondence: huangyao@cuit.edu.cn Chengdu University of Information Technology, Sichuan, China slowly time-varying channels. Some decision feedback equalization techniques are also compatible with OFDM systems [11][12][13][14][15][16]. According to the previous literature, we can observe that the equalizers with the banded channel matrix can be efficiently performed in sequential or block manners.…”
