“…In recent years, more and more studies have investigated miRNA expression in women with PCOS ( Santamaria and Taylor, 2014 ; Butler et al, 2020 ; Gebremedhn et al, 2021 ). It has been reported that there are a variety of miRNAs in human follicular fluid, including miR-483-5p, miR-132, miR-320, miR-520c-3p, miR-24 and miR-222, which are related to estrogen secretion.…”

“…Sprague Dawley (SD) rats were treated with PSSS at doses of 0.333, 0.667, or 1 g/kg for 30 days after fed with Lieber-Decarli alcohol liquid diet and CCl4 injection. PSSS treatment improved histopathological lesions in the liver and decreased the serum levels of liver fibrosis indicators (hyaluronan [HA], laminin [LM], and hydroxyproline [ 67 ]). Further, the decreased expression of hepatic MMP-13 and the increased expression of hepatic tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase (TIMP)-1 was reversed by PSSS administration in mice.…”

“…Let-7i expression was decreased in atretic follicles as compared to that in healthy follicles (23) and was signi cantly up-regulated in follicle activation (24). A recent study showed that the expression of let-7i was signi cantly different between PCOS patients and controls (25,26), that suggested the potential role of let-7i in the pathogenesis of PCOS.…”
