Abstract: The effects of methylglyoxal (MG) on mitochondria with specific foci on peroxynitrite (ONOO(-)) production, manganese superoxide dismutase (MnSOD) activity, and mitochondrial functions in vascular smooth muscle A-10 cells were investigated.
