Abstract: ABSTRACT. Objective. To determine the effectiveness of intravenous immune globulin (IVIG) in the prevention and treatment of neonatal sepsis.Design. All published studies of IVIG for the prevention or treatment of neonatal sepsis were reviewed. Peerreviewed, prospective, randomized trials with high merit were analyzed by two meta-analyses.
