Natural resource-based social conflicts tend to be more frequent lately, including in the Kelola Sendang project area. The Kelola Sendang Project (KS) is an effort to manage natural resources that guarantee its sustainability on the one hand, and ensure the welfare of its people fairly on the other. This KS project covers a vast area of 1.6 million ha and involve various stakeholders with different interests. The area is also contain a huge potency of social conflicts, both latent and manifest. Therefore, it is important to study the social conflicts in the Kelola Sendang area. This research use a qualitative approach. This study shows that resource-based conflicts in the project area are taken place between villagers, between villagers and corporation, as well as between villagers and government. The social conflicts are managed among others by implementing participatory mapping, social forestry, as well as inclusive and partnership with local community. Moreover, the study found 6 principles in sustainable landscape approach in KS. These six principles are: 1). clearly defined geographical boundary, 2). collaboration of all relevant actors, 3). existence of an “umbrella coordinating body”, 4). mutual benefits and inclusive, 5). complexity, and 6). political support. This principles can also be regarded as a mechanism of conflict management.

Land rights, including cultivation rights, are an important aspect of a country's economic and social development. However, the complexity in implementing land rights is often a source of problems, especially related to overlapping land ownership and use status. Cultivation rights are a form of land right that has a primary nature. This means that this right gives permission to the holder to use the land in accordance with the specified purposes. The process of land registration and issuance of certificates by the National Land Agency (BPN) should provide clarity regarding ownership of land rights. However, in practice, there are still overlapping land ownership statuses which give rise to various problems. This problem involves land registration policies which are not yet fully capable of providing legal certainty for certificate holders. A land registration system that uses a negative approach, where land certificates are not an absolute means of proof, complicates the process of resolving land disputes. The impact is felt on people's lives, where land certificates become proof of ownership that has economic value. Concrete steps are needed to ensure clear land ownership and no overlap. This includes improving the land registration system, increasing coordination between relevant institutions, as well as outreach to the public about the importance of having a valid land certificate. The problem of overlapping land ownership is a serious challenge that needs to be addressed immediately. With cooperation between stakeholders and concrete steps, it is hoped that legal certainty in land ownership can be created, which will ultimately support sustainable development and community welfare.

This study aims to analyze access mechanisms and social networks formed in community-based forest management programs. This study uses a qualitative approach through access and social network analysis based on the results of in-depth interviews with 23 farmers as s who are members of the Kramatjaya forest farmer group in Cisurupan District, Garut Regency, West Java, Indonesia, which were conducted from September 2020 to February 2021. the stage of maintaining access through efforts to increase and maintain types of access to capital, technology, knowledge, markets and social relations. This study also shows the form of the Radial Personal Network which shows the form of a personal network that is widespread, large, and open to outside information so that it is one way to improve the welfare of farmers.
