Job motivation plays a vital role in determining job satisfaction levels. In the Malaysian Polytechnic context, limited studies have investigated the influence of job motivation on job satisfaction among academic staff. Therefore, this study aims is to examine the influence of job motivation on job satisfaction among polytechnic academic staff. This study employs quantitative research and single-cross sectional study. The data is gathered using the survey method. The result of multiple regression analysis shows that job motivation significantly and positively influences job satisfaction. More specifically, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation show a significant and positive influence on job satisfaction. It implies that improving job motivation in terms of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation is critically important to increase job satisfaction among polytechnic academic staff. Therefore, this study will contribute to polytechnic management as an indicator in the decision-making process to achieve the desired goals in the future.

Employees in the public sector should be service-oriented rather than profit-driven. They should be motivated by the inherent advantages and rewards of their job. Therefore, the study proposes to use the Rasch Model Analysis to examine the well-being of public knowledge workers based on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. According to the findings, public knowledge workers who are more satisfied with their jobs have higher affective commitment than those who are less satisfied. Furthermore, those who are more satisfied with their jobs have a higher level of normative commitment. Furthermore, dissatisfied public knowledge workers tend to have higher continuance commitment than satisfied ones. The findings indicate that, despite their dissatisfaction with the promotion system in public learning institutions, the public knowledge workers continue to perform their duties as civil servants. It is exemplified by a high level of normative commitment, a type of state-mandated faithfulness to public organizations.

The Indonesian National Army is an integral part of the Indonesia Archipelago. As the national component, the Army has the main task of maintaining the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity of the unitary state. Therefore it needs high-quality human resources. The aim of the research was examining the real motivational factors behind the positive attitude of The Indonesian Army Academic Staff. The study applied a Rasch Model method. The Rasch Model Analysis was used to examine the research variable based on its dimensions and indicators. The research results show that team-building development process has been successfully proven, based on the research results. The Rasch Model analysis also shows that team-spirit among The Indonesian National Army members is very solid. It is the most satisfactory factor that creates positive task-attitude among the army academic staff. At the same time, the promotion is the most challenging factor to agree with among them.
