Mean platelet volume: Should we really eye on?

Abstract: Introduction: Mean platelet volume (MPV) is a hematology analyzer generated measurement of the average size of platelets found in peripheral blood. Thrombocytopenia could be because of accelerated destruction, impaired production or abnormal pooling in spleen. Analyses of MPV values play an important role in assessing the mechanism for TCP.
