Abstract:Acute colonic pseudo-obstruction, also known as Ogilvie’s syndrome, is a rare condition involving acute large bowel dilatation without mechanical obstruction. Management begins with conservative treatment and may include pharmacological therapy, colonoscopic decompression and surgery.
