Few cases of primary orbital histiocytoma had been reported (Vogell969; Jakobiec et a1 1974;Rodrigues et al 1977) until report of 150 cases by Font & Hidayatt (1982), to which the interested reader is referred for a detailed review. These authors con-cluded that fibrous histocytoma is the commonest primary mesenchymal orbital tumour of adults; however, its predilection for the orbit is not widely recognised.…”
