Main inductances of induction motor for diagnostically specialized mathematical models

Abstract: Abstract:In the paper modeling of main inductances for mathematical models of induction motors is applied to study the effects caused by a rotor eccentricity and saturation effects. All three possible types of eccentricity: static, dynamic and mixed are modeled. The most important parameters describing rotor eccentricity include self and mutual inductances of the windings. The structural changes of the permeance function as a result of eccentricity appearance and the Fourier spectra of inductances in occurrenc… Show more

“…Such a function depends on the angular coordinate of the stator and the angle of rotation of the rotor. In publications [26,27], various forms of the permeance function depending on the type of eccentricity were presented. This chapter mainly focuses on the prac-tical aspects of identifying types of eccentricity and their negative impact on the design of the machine.…”

“…One can distinguish three types of eccentricity: static, dynamic, and mixed. The per-unit function that models this phenomenon can be derived based on geometrical dependencies and is written in the form of a Fourier series [43]:…”

“…Accurate field method was described in [5]. The simplified method based on the distribution of magnetic field density in an air gap of an electric machine was mentioned in [10]. The indirect but more simple method based on the magnetic co-energy function used the set of functions approximating linked fluxes of windings was proposed in [4].…”
